Located at 629 Bourke Street, Melbourne CBD, the venue is housed in the heritage listed building which was historically known as the City West Police Station and Bluestone Gaol. It has since been transformed and recently refurbished to provide the perfect place to have a snack, lunch, dinner or simply enjoy a cold drink after a day at work.

In addition, The Royal Melbourne prides itself as being a premier function venue in a distinctive indoor/outdoor setting. There are 3 areas available as one or separately:

• The Atrium with its magnificent glass roof top and access to outdoor spacious Courtyard (sit-down 200pax – cocktail 600pax)
• The Cells featuring bluestone long corridors and private Warden’s Room (sit-down 80pax – cocktail 120pax)
• The Upstairs Function Room inclusive of 2 bars, DJ facilities, dance floor and a sunken chill-lounge (sit-down 100pax – cocktail 220pax)

The Royal Melbourne offers an environment for all occasions; we suggest you consider the venue to host your next work function or social event; including special events, private parties, engagement/weddings, social club gatherings, team meetings, trade shows, product launches…..and ‘end of year’ functions/Christmas parties.

A variety of catering options are on offer at the Royal Melbourne; however, we are flexible with these packages and can tailor them to suit your requirements.
